PF Release & Gastroc Recession Post-Op ?

I am 10 days post op from endoscopic PF release and gastroc recession (non-endoscopic) which included a PRP injection and amniotic graft. I was put in a Cam Walker and told to start walking the next day. My calf felt like it had a grapefruit in it the first couple of days, but I have been getting around much easier.

After surgery pain was very minimal, but I'm very concerned about the amount of numbness I am still experiencing in my ankle and heel. The inside ankle bone (not sure of clinical name) feels very weird. The best way to describe it is the feeling of duct tape on the inside and when it moves it feels like it is tugging from the inside but it's numb to the touch. I am also feeling burning sensations in that area and on the other side of my foot from time to time. The boot has gotten uncomfortable in the ankle area and I am using one of the sponge spacer that came with it as sort of a cushion on the ankle bone.

My doctor told me to wear the boot for 10 days so as of tomorrow I am supposed to begin wearing my running shoes. I'm nervous wondering if I'm really ready. He is on vacation so no way I can reach out to him to address my concerns. I'm due to see him next week to remove the sutures.

Is what I am feeling normal for 10 days post-op? I thought the numbness would be wearing off by now and I'm not sure why my ankle feels the way it does. Please advise.

I would not be concerned about it as this stage. Give it some more time.
