Stretching the plantar fascia ?

How long after tearing the partial fascia, is it safe to stretch this area? I want to make sure I do not make the tear worse or fully rupture it by stretching it when it has not had enough time to heal, but I also want to do all I can to improve the tear and my Plantar Fasciitis which I have had 5 months now.
Many thanks.

Be guided by the pain. If it is too painful, do not stretch. If you can tolerate it, then stretch it.
You should be able to stretch after 5 months if not sooner.
