Why do my toes turn white and gross when wet?

Whenever my feet get wet (shower, swimming, exercise) my toes and sometimes heels turn white. It looks gross and is embarrassing, I never want to swim or get a pedicure. I went to the podiatrist and she wasn’t sure what it was, but guessed erythermalgia or Reynaud’s. I don’t think either of these are right. I have tried using antiperspirant and powders to reduce moisture, antifungals and antibiotics, foot peels, etc. Still, every time I get out of the shower they look like this. Most days I use a foot file and the white skin peels off, but it’s back the next time my feet get wet. And if I file too much I end up making my skin bleed. Does anyone have any clue what could cause this or how to treat? I can’t find any information online.

DocPod
For some reason your skin is absorbing a lot of extra moisture. Certainly not common.
Suggest you get an opinion from a dermatologist.
