When will plantar fascia tear heel ?

An ultrasound scan 11 weeks ago diagnosed a small tear + 50% thickened fascia. 11 weeks later I have just had another ultrasound scan done with another clinician and a small linear tear has been diagnosed again + 50% thickened fascia. Does this mean the tear has not heeled or have I torn it again, or is it to be expected the original tear to still show after 11 weeks ? I want to make sure I can continue doing strengthening exercises and stretching without causing issues to the tear.
