Accessory ossicle verses old fracture. ?

Back during the summer I twisted my foot and had some mild swelling with pain on the outside of my foot with gently pressing on it and pain while walking. I kept it wrapped and in a shoe and it started feeling better a couple weeks later. It has given me problems on and off since then. A couple months ago it started hurting again after doing stationary calf lifts. Fast forward to November he 8th I was walking into work and had a sharp stabbing pain along the outside of my foot up my ankle. It was almost unbearable to walk on for 2 weeks. I had a small bruise along the outside of my foot with redness and swelling. My foot is still swollen and red along the end of the 5th metatarsal. X-ray impression, the appearance is consistent with an accessory ossicle or less likely, an old fracture with nonunion. Spoke with an orthopedic today for 5 minutes who also went with an accessory ossicle but could not figure how to zoom in on the X-ray...
any input would be great!
