lost R big toe nail due to trauma ?

60 yr old male, lost R big toe nail due to trauma. Nail come off completely and cleanly 2 weeks later. Concern is that nail bed may not be smooth and may deform new nail as it grows in. Have been treating topically with Lamisil to prevent fungus. Prior to trauma about 20 % of top of nail detached even though nail itself appeared healthy. What treatment if any is advised?

Unfortuntaly there is nothing you can really do. If the nail bed was damaged during the trauma, then the nail will not grow back properly.
It will all depend on how much damage to the growing area occured during the trauma
