Any advice I can give him for his smelly feet?

Smelly feet (link) are almost always due to the action of bacteria on sweat, so the key to it management is the use of strategies to stop the sweating. There are many products for smelly feet, some better than others.
Basically, go without shoes as much as possible to let sweat evaporate; use socks to absorb the sweat and change them regulalry. Powder can also be used to help absorb the sweat.
