I sprained my ankle at work and workman's comp. paid for PT. My ankle feels better but I started developing corns on the bottom of my foot and I never had them before the ankle injury. Could my gait have changed and the new pressure points cause the corns to develop? Workman's comp. might pay for the corns to be removed and custom insoles if that is the case.
Yes, it can.
All "trauma" can alter gait and loading under the foot.
HOWEVER, and this is relevant to your Workmans comp, a lot of people get corns without a history of trauma that alters the gait
It could well be that you were on the way to develop them anyway and the ankle sprain was just coincidental.
Only a detailed assessment can make that determination.
