Looks like what may be a bunion? It is hard, hurts a little with pressure, and when wearing shoes... and appeared basically overnight?

Sorry, but it could be any one of many different thing. Without and exam or even seeing a picture, I would not want to take any guesses. Suggest you get to someone to look at it.
