I have a type of psoriasis that affects the bottom of my foot. I need to wear orthotics for my heel pain and they work well. When there is a flare up of the psoriasis the orthotics are too uncomfortable to wear. Is there anything I can do to help?

Thats a tough one! Psoriasis does affect the foot and can be painful during flare ups. The only two things I can suggest to try are:
1. Use a very soft cover over the foot orthotics during the flare ups of the psoriasis
2. Perhaps see who you got the orthotic off and see if a new softer orthotic or a new orthotic with a lower arch will help. They will possible not be as effective as your current orthotics, but will be better than nothing if th psoriasis is being a problem.
