I had a traction force on my ankle two years ago, and because of the following prolonged ankle pain I had MRI and was diagnosed with ligament injury in my ankle.

Since this traction occasion, I also started having paresthesia symptoms in my foot. Especially after walking with shoes, nowadays with other exercising also. Annoying tightness around the foot like some inner band tightening it, with feeling of the foot being numb.

I´ve had physiotherapy (podiatrist) for my ankle, but because of this foot symptom becoming more chronic, I´m trying to find a therapist who´s maybe more aware of nerve tissue problems.

And I´m finally getting an EMG examination done. Just wondering should EMG be performed in a standing position, because I feel the symptom when I have weight on my foot? Not as much or at all when not weight bearing.

EMG's are done all sorts of ways; sitting, standing, walking.
WHich way its done will be determined by what they are looking for.
