Perpetual itch below skin surface then comes on suddenly to foot pad. Hard bristle brush is only resloution. What is causing this? What is treatment. I am 67 my Mom is 89, we both have this condition and no doctor seems to know the problem. I have had mild nerve conduction tests on both feet. Still no resolution.

It sounds like some forum of neuropathy. I thing you should see a neurolgist for a consult and a thorough assessment

For me. I have found that staying hydrated helps. Especially after eating. Drinking water or very diluted juice. Drinking tea or coffee has no effect. Only water.
