I get a suspicion that you have plantar plate dysfunction. Some people who have this describe the symptoms that you have.

You have described precisely the same symptoms that I have. There is no pain involved, just stiff, leathery feeling on the underside of my feet, primarily near the front. I've looked into the possibility of 'Plantar Plate Dysfunction' but am skeptical as I never feel any pain whatsoever. I am flat footed and there is a history of poor lower leg circulation among men in my family. I'd love to know what this is and whether something has to be done to correct it, or if it is a health risk. I can manage quite well otherwise.
