Type of carbon insole for big toe arthritis ?

I need to get one of those carbon plate insoles to stiffen my shoe as I have arthritis in it.
There seems to be two types. One is shaped like an insole and one only goes up under the big toe and not the other side of the front foot.
Which one should I use?

It probably does not matter as the both types stiffen up the big toe which is what you need.

The only time I tend to use the one that goes across the whole forefoot is when I want to stiffen the whole forefoot rather than just the big toe joint.

The Morton's extension type one, like this one:

will stiffen the big toe joint, but lets the other joints move more normally.
