We use the Akileine Akilwinter cream for chilblains.
There are a lot of different ones on the market and you can see lots of testimonials for every one of them as being the best and the one that fixed "their" chilblains. Unfortunately that testimonial does not mean that its going to fix your chilblains. What works for one might not work for the next one. There is no research to guide us as to which one is the best one to use.
We have found that the Akileine Akilwinter is a good place to start and it does seem to help a number.
If you look at some of the podiatry groups on social media and if someone asks which chilblain cream do other podiatrists use, then it is the Akileine Akilwinter that does seem to get recommended more than the others - pretty every cream does get a mention as a recommendation, it just seems that this one is recommended more often.

That too has been my experience. I have not been overly impressed with any one particular cream with each one helping some but not others. It could be a matter f trial and error to find the one that suits the individual.
I had not heard of that Alikene one, so will follow your recommendation and give it a go.
