I have been running in Nike shoes previously, but was recently told that they have been linked to a lot of injuries. I was suggested to try the Asics Kayano. Does anyone have an opinion of this running shoe?

I doubt that there is any evidence that Nike are more linked to any other brand. Injuries happen in all shoes and each shoe has their favourite. What is important is matching up your specific characteristics to the characteristics or design features in the running shoes. The Asics Gel Kayano and Gel Nimbus are good shoes, but if it’s not the right shoe for you, then you may have problems I suggest you go to a specialist running shoe store for advice.
