I had metatarsus adductus when I was a child and it never got treated. I am now 42. My orthopedic doctor wants to operate to fix it but its not really causing me any pain. I read in several place online that there are shoes that adults can get if they have metatarsus adductus, but I can't see any specific recommendation for specific shoes to wear. Do you have any advice?

I am typically disinclined to operate on an adult with metatarsus adductus unless it is really a problem. It is a lot of work!
As you are not having any issues, then best to leave it. As for shoes, just make sure they are wide enough in the forefoot, but other than that I do not have any specific recommendations except to see a pedorthist for advice.
