I have been referred to a Orthopedic surgeon, but the appointment is several weeks away.
Of the 3 injection options that I am aware of - corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid or PRP (platelet rich plasma), are any better / worse ? Also, are hyaluronic acid and PRP "steroids" ? I have read that steroid injections can weaken the area, + also risk rupturing the area and I already have a small tear there, so I am not keen on the corticosteroid option as I am a runner keen to return to running (when the condition will allow).

No idea. Depends on too many factors to give a recommendation based on such little clinical information.
