I got diagnosed with ankylosing spondilitis 8 years ago and now both my heel a very sore. I have read plenty about the heel pain occurring in ankylosing spondilitis, but very little on what to do do help it. Any ideas?
The 'plantar fasciitis' that you get with your condition is art of the disease process and not the typical plantar fasciitis that most other people get. While you can try some of the advice given for them such as foot supports and stretching, they tend not to work as well. Most cases like yours tend o respond to the drugs that are used to treat the condition, so ask your rheumatologist about it.
