59 year old male with non-healing (over one year) sesamoid fracture.
What are pros/cons (long and short term)of steroid injection?

There are really no cons to it, so its worth a try if you have gone with long with it not healing. It may break the pain cycle. Surgical removal is often a good option at this stage.
