A couple of my toenails are thinning/receding. One barely has a nail but used to and another is receding and is half of what it was two years ago.
I had been seeing a woman who had/has this condition. All the toenails on one of her feet were like this and she said for years. Like the nail and skin underneath growing as if they are combining together instead of being nail and nail bed. I have always had healthy nails and skin so I am concerned.
She said it wasn’t contagious and ended up finally getting to a proper physician that prescribed an oral medication.
I am no longer in contact with her but I think she passed this crap to me, possibly fully aware that she was. There was always something wrong and somehow, I thought, maybe she messed with my endocrine system somehow,...messing with me in someway... I could feel.
If anybody has an idea of the medication for the symptom of toenails turning into nail bed, please advise me.
The only oral medication that is available for any toe nail condition is the one that is available for onychomycosis/fungal infection.
It is hard to say what your problem is without seeing it and doing a lab test. Suggest you see someone to get it diagnosed properly.
